Expect something different in Harrogate with the Country Home Store cafe's homemade food, tea parties and beer tasting, writes Jessica Powell
The Country Home Store, which sells country inspired gifts and homewares, is set to open their highly anticipated tearooms this month, and owner Elizabeth Maskell is positive it will be just what the people of Harrogate need.
Harrogate is home to several chain cafes and coffee shops but there is a severe lack of independent, traditional tearooms which most would expect to find in a historical spa town.

It sounds faintly ridiculous, but I hate when a review is going well. Not because I'm out to slate the restaurants of Harrogate – there's only one, maybe two I wouldn't return to – but more for the fact I find myself impressed, anonymously critiquing with a friend, knot in stomach hoping to God the staff don't slip up and ruin their good work before we leave.
